Center for Ballroom and Dance was the vision of Alyce Brinkmann, CBD's Artistic Director, and her two partners, Jean and Lou Dixon. They met in the ballroom industry and shortly after felt guided to open a state-of-the-art studio that would provide the superior instruction in classical, contemporary and ballroom dance. Less than a year after meeting, Center for Ballroom and Dance opened in September 2010, offering a unique and extraordinary range of dance styles.
Our facility, located in Deer Park, Illinois, contains a beautiful ballroom studio and three state-of-the-art dance studios, dancer's lounges and a retail store, Amelena Dancewear.

"I went here with my girlfriend over a month ago and I was very apprehensive about dancing. To my surprise the instructors and staff at CBD are all so encouraging, patient, and motivating that we're still going and I look forward to every visit! They offer a intro lesson and my only caution to you is that dancing can get very addicting and is a tremendous amount of fun, so be careful because you might get hooked! They also host practice parties free of charge where you can dance in a relaxed social setting. If you don't know what you want to do I recommend you give one of the practice parties or intro lessons a shot. Bottom line, great place!
